Taking Turns and Carving a Pumpkin
posted by nathan

On Saturday (Haloween!) we decided to all carve a pumpking together.  A&A LOVED using the little scoops from our pumpkin carving kit (they called them shovels) to scrape at the pumpkin guts.  As you can see in the video, they had to take turns, which is a new advancement for us.  Just this month, we started "taking turns", and they totally get it!  They'll play for awhile, then decide it's the other twin's turn (Or sometimes decide that it's "Daddy turn!" or "Mommy turn!").  Maybe it's just that we're finally putting a label on something they've had to do since the day they were born, or maybe they think of it as a game?  Either way, we're happy and amazed that they take turns so well....
