  Audrey loves her name

Sara mentioned in the last post how Audrey loves to add her name to things.  In the same vein, here are some funny things she said today.

 

First, this morning, I was putting an outfit on Audrey that had a picture of a monkey on it.  Aaron got excited, pointed at it (thus pointing directly at Audrey) and started shouting "Elmo! Elmo!" (Don't ask why, but they think all sorts of things are Elmo.  We're not even really sure how they know who Elmo is, but somehow they decided that small cute fuzzy creatures, including their green frog doll, are Elmo). 

The conversation went something like this:

Aaron (pointing at Audrey):  "Elmo! Elmo"

Audrey (trying to correct him, in a very serious voice), "Audrey!"

Aaron:  "Elmo!"

Audrey:  "Audrey!"

 

Also, recently, we've been teaching Audrey how to answer the question "What's your name?"  That, and her tendency to add her name to everything she repeats, led to this amusing conversation between the three of us:

Sara (telling me about her day):  So let me tell you about that nice lady I met today....

Me:  What's her name?

Audrey:  "Audrey!"

Sara:  "Carol (I just made that up, I don't remember her name).  She has grown up twins"

Audrey: "Audrey twin!"
